Some Notable Events
▨ I published my first journal article at the age of 17 [P.G.Popescu, Asupra unei probleme date la O.B.M. (About a problem from BMO), Gazeta Matematica, CVII, nr. 11, 2002, p. 436-437];
▨ My Numerical Methods lecture notes are taught since 2013 to an average of 500 students annually;
▨ I received the title of full professor at the age of 34 + 2 days @ POLITEHNICA Bucharest;
▨ In 2019 together with the great professor and remarkable mathematician prof. Octavian Stanasila (my PhD advisor), we published the first quantum computing manual in Romania [Provocarile Calculului Cuantic (The Challenges of Quantum Computing), Ed. Politehnica Press, 2019, ISBN 978-606-515-885-6];
▨ I am the founder and coordinator of the Quantum Computing MSc. program @ POLITEHNICA Bucharest, that was approved in 2022 and launched in 2023, being the first quantum related MSc. in Romania;
▨ We received in 2023 the Romanian Academy prize for New results in Quantum Computing;
